A Student whose permanent home is in NYS… who meets one of the following immigrations status criteria T or U visa holder An individual granted temporary protected status (TPS) An individual without lawful immigration status Students with DACA status AND who meets one of the following education criteria NYS High School Attendance Attended a NYS HS for 2 or more years Graduated from a NYS HS Enrolled in Undergrad within 5 years Grad within 10 years NYS High School Equivalency Received a NYS HSE diploma Enrolled in Undergrad within 5 years Grad within 10 years Charged NYS resident in-state tuition rate at a SUNY or CUNY college for any reason A Student whose permanent home is NOT in NYS… who meets one of the following immigrations status criteria US citizen Permanent Lawful Resident T or U visa holder An individual granted temporary protected status (TPS) An individual without lawful immigration status Students with DACA status An individual who belongs to a class of refugees who was paroled by the attorney general AND who meets one of the following education criteria NYS High School Attendance Attended a NYS HS for 2 or more years Graduated from a NYS HS Enrolled in Undergrad within 5 years Grad within 10 years NYS High School Equivalency Received a NYS HSE diploma Enrolled in Undergrad within 5 years Grad within 10 years Charged NYS resident in-state tuition rate at a SUNY or CUNY college for any reason Application Quick Facts Available at https://www.hesc.ny.gov/dream/ The New York State DREAM Act application currently has two parts The first part checks eligibility for the NYS DREAM Act The second checks eligibility for NYS sponsored aid (available after completion of first part) Support documents must be uploaded directly onto the application The application uses skip logic, so students only see the questions they must complete Help options include live chat or request a call
