GEHM was formed in 2016 by faculty from 11 leading health management programs, who were interested in creating a platform of dialogue to share data and strategies related to their work with alumni. Over time, the group’s focus expanded to include other boundary-spanning aspects of program administration, emphasizing areas that fall outside of the work already taking place within other associations and accrediting bodies. The purpose of GEHM is to identify, develop, implement, evaluate, and share innovative approaches to excellence in graduate health management program administration collaboratively and rapidly. Currently, 15 graduate health management programs participate in GEHM. An annual membership with GEHM is $5, 000. Membership cycle runs on a calendar year. The GEHM Leadership Council oversees the work of the GEHM program and various committees. The council consists of one representative from each of the GEHM member organizations and meets 4-6 times per year, inclusive of at least 1-2 times in person at ACHE and NCHL’s All-Member Conference.  STUDENT FEE WAIVERS *ENHANCED FOR 2023* Waivers have increased from 2 to 4 per organization. For students applying to fellowships, each program will receive a total of four (4) coupon codes that can be used only once.  LENS COUNCIL PARTICIPATION & CONNECTION WITH FIELD OF PRACTICE *NEW 2023 BENEFIT* On an annual basis, 4 GEHM representatives will be nominated to participate in the Leadership Excellence Networks (LENS) program Council meetings. These at-large representatives will be responsible for attending the applicable council meetings and reporting back to the GEHM Leadership Council.  LENS EXECUTIVE BRIEFING *NEW 2023 BENEFIT* Receipt of the monthly LENS Executive Briefing which includes access to new scholarly and trending research relevant to the work and focus of the Leadership Excellence Networks (LENS). Additionally, GEHM members will be invited to submit research for inclusion and exposure within the field of practice.  BUILDING CONNECTION AND PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN THE FIELD OF PRACTICE AND ACADEMIA *NEW 2023 BENEFIT* • One (1) Joint In-Person; and • One (1) Joint Virtual Collaborative Council Meeting with GEHM (Academia) and LENS (Field of Practice) and NCAF Council Sites (Academia and Field of Practice) The in-person collaborative council meeting will be hosted at the NCHL All-Member Conference and limited to 1 GEHM participant per organization. Invited LENS participants will be dependent on the focus of the collaborative meeting. The virtual collaborative council meeting will be hosted in spring or summer of 2023. There will be no limit to the number of participants from each GEHM member organization. The focus of these collaborative meetings will be built in partnership between GEHM and LENS committee/council chairs.  JOINT ACADEMIA-INDUSTRY DISCUSSION FORUM *NEW 2023 BENEFIT* Accessed through the NCHL member portal, GEHM members will have access to a discussion board built for asynchronous communication amongst other GEHM members and all LENS program members, where conversations regarding field of practice and its link to academia can take place.  NCHL ALL-MEMBER CONFERENCE Each organization will receive one (1) complimentary ticket to the NCHL All-Member Conference.  NCAF BENCHMARKING SURVEY & EXECUTIVE SUMMARY DATA Access to yearly recruitment, benchmarking, and trend data as it relates to graduate programs, fellowship sites, graduate students, and administrative fellows.  VIRTUAL NETWORKING OR EDUCATIONAL SESSIONS 3-4 virtual networking or educational sessions targeted toward early careerists, graduate students, fellowship sites and program leads.  GEHM WORKGROUP PARTICIPATION Opportunity to participate in GEHM workgroups and guide various aspect of the program evolution and focus. Networking and peer-to-peer collaboration are emphasized components.  MEMBER ONLY VIRTUAL DISCUSSION FORUM Accessed through the NCHL member portal, GEHM members will have access to a discussion board for asynchronous communication amongst other GEHM members, while other forums are for NCAF graduate program member discussions.  NCAF NEWSLETTER A bi-monthly newsletter with updates on fellowship recruitment, NCAF educational offerings, and more.
